Stanton County board approves hires, accepts resignations; one coach declines slot

Board members voted 7-0 to approve contracts presented by the superintendent. The approved list included Shelby Hernandez (jr. high StuCo and high school assistant volleyball), Jose Rodriguez (junior high cross country), Karina Moreno and Kaimyn McFarland (elementary paraprofessionals), Robyn Kendrick and Lauren Kellum (elementary teacher mentors), Leah Crane (high‑school teacher mentor), Emily Seger (substitute list), Olivia Seger (high‑school/junior‑high scholar bowl sponsor), and co‑junior class sponsors Elizabeth Harms and Brenda Rogers. Minutes note that Sam Ehrlich was offered assistant JH football and assistant JH basketball coach positions but decided not to accept them.
On resignations, Bret Kendrick moved and Paige German seconded to accept resignations from Andrea Jones (assistant jr. high girls basketball coach), Maria Corrales (elementary paraprofessional) and Brenda (Char) Rogers (HS play/musical); the motion carried 7-0.
Superintendent Dave Novack and board leaders signed off on the approvals; the board did not attach conditions or amendments to the contracts in the minutes. The actions were recorded as routine personnel business and, per the minutes, take effect per district procedures.
