Staff noted materials including LP engineered‑wood siding, Anderson windows (wood interior, clad outside), fiberglass doors and bronze wall‑lantern lighting, and displayed a site plan showing a roughly 20‑by‑25 addition and parking area behind the building.
The applicant confirmed the rear porch is structurally compromised and said the addition will create two new efficiency units. Commissioners asked about window materials and trim colors; the applicant confirmed the windows would remain white and that the applicant is not yet decided on trim color. After a short discussion, a commissioner moved to approve the COA as recommended by staff, the motion was seconded and the commission voted in favor by unanimous consent.
Staff said it will follow up with the applicant about design details and send an official approval notice.
The approval allows the applicant to pursue building permits and construction consistent with the approved design, subject to any required permits and inspections.
