West Orange resident asks county to review road striping after repaving

During the public‑comment portion of the meeting, West Orange resident Dan Mueller described changes after an August repaving of Gregory Avenue that, he said, narrowed the shoulder used to access his driveway, blocked curb drains and caused property damage.
Mueller said he had contacted county and municipal offices and that Commissioner Gill advised him to bring the concern to the board. County staff asked Mueller to provide photographs and contact information; the board asked the county communications staff to forward the material to the Department of Public Works and to the municipal engineering office so staff can review the striping and drainage issues and advise on possible remediation.
Commissioner Ciano said the county will investigate and, if county action is not appropriate, explain the municipal or contractor constraints that determined the striping. The board recorded no immediate commitment to repave; officials said they will examine engineering constraints and report back.
