LaMoure County commissioners set 2% starting point for 2026 salary planning

The review covered a range of departmental budget lines to inform planning for the coming year.
The commissioners set a preliminary starting point for 2026 personnel budgeting: a 2% base increase together with step adjustments for salaries. That figure was agreed as the baseline assumption for further budget preparations rather than as a final adopted wage schedule.
The board scheduled the next department head budget meeting for July 28 at 8:00 a.m. to continue reviewing budgets and refine recommendations for the 2026 budget cycle. The meeting record shows the session adjourned at 12:17 p.m.
