The Marion Common Council approved a package of licensing requests and authorized vendor payments at its June 8 meeting.
Council members approved the annual mobile home park license for Hillside Mobile Home Park despite pending inspection concerns and approved multiple Class A and Class B combination alcohol licenses, cigarette licenses and amusement/coin-operated machine licenses. One liquor and one amusement license were approved contingent on payment of back taxes.
Finance Committee members reviewed monthly bills and the check register before the meeting and recommended approval; the council approved invoices totaling $124,806.99 and the Treasurer's report and money transfers as presented.
The approvals were handled largely on consent, with motions noted as "m/s/c" on the record. No contested public objections to licensing were recorded during the meeting.
