He said he will send letters to candidates and work with the Civil Service Commission on next steps. Councilors present agreed to continue the search for one part-time officer.
The council received the staffing update as an operational report; no formal vote on additional personnel was recorded. Pernice and Manager Wells indicated follow-up steps include outreach to the consortium and scheduling exams with Civil Service.
