The vote followed public comment from Cathy Marshbanks, who said she was disappointed the bathhouse was being removed and wished the town had waited “two to three months” to explore whether the structure could be saved and repurposed. Marshbanks also reported recent flooding at River Park and recounted a postponed but completed Duck Race that used about 650 ducks and produced three winners.
The budget motion increased expenditure line 10-420-74 by $157,000 to cover demolition costs and amended revenue line 10-399-02 by $157,000; the original $5,000 allocation for the project remains in place. The commissioners recorded the vote as 3–0 in favor. The meeting minutes do not specify the source of the additional revenue beyond the amendment to the revenue line.
Board members provided no further public timeline for demolition during the meeting. The board adjourned following additional agenda items.
