The York Planning Board completed its annual internal organization at the July meeting: Wayne Boardman was nominated and elected chair, David Woods was elected vice chair, and a current board member agreed to serve as secretary for the coming term.
Members noted the board's home‑rule term limits and handled nominations without contest. After the vote the new chair conducted a brief procedural handoff.
The board also voted to ask the select board to fill the vacancy created by a member's departure by appointing one of the board's current alternates; the motion passed by roll call vote. Planning staff will forward the recommendation to the select board for its consideration.
Finally, the board reviewed and approved minutes from the June 25 meeting with minor corrections and typographical edits.
