Natchez-Adams board delegates two discipline appeals to superintendent and approves one expulsion

The Natchez-Adams School District Board of Trustees, meeting in a special-called session on Nov. 20, 2025, delegated decisions on two student-discipline appeals to Superintendent Zandra McDonald and approved one student expulsion.
The board convened at 3:23 p.m. at the Braden Administrative Building. Trustees approved the meeting agenda by roll call before entering closed-session consideration. After determining to meet in executive session to discuss student matters, the board heard items listed on the printed agenda under Policies JCAA, JDA and JDE.
On appeal NOV1 (TB), Mr. Phillip West moved and Dr. Brenda Robinson seconded a motion ‘‘to allow the superintendent to make a decision in consideration of information gathered.’’ The board recorded a 5-0 vote in favor. The board took the same action on appeal NOV2 (KC) with an identical motion and a 5-0 vote. Item NOV3 (KW) was removed from the agenda and no action was taken on it.
The board also considered expulsion case NOV4 (TW). Mr. West moved and Dr. Robinson seconded a motion to approve the expulsion under Policy JDE; the motion passed 5-0. The minutes record the action as an approval of the expulsion; no further details about the student or sanctions beyond the classification ‘‘expulsion’’ are provided in the minutes.
The board returned to open session, then adjourned at 3:55 p.m. The motions and roll-call votes are recorded in the meeting minutes; the superintendent is authorized to issue final decisions on the two appeals noted above based on the information gathered during the review process.
