Fire, road and administration reports: 428 calls for year-to-date; gWorks live, Purplewave auction raises $42,635

Fire Chief Chad Lady told the board that "to date in 2025, the department has run a total of 428 service calls." He said the department continues training on the new ESO program and that all fire trucks are undergoing Department of Transportation inspections, which should be completed by the end of the week.
Road Superintendent John Tipton reported April activities: asphalt replacement began on Camden Lane and Cambridge Avenue; the department borrowed a jet culvert cleaning machine and operator from Jackson County and cleared numerous culverts; multiple driveway culverts were replaced. He also noted that Lou Smith has returned to full duty with no restrictions after an earlier accident.
Administrator Audree Guzman provided administrative updates. She said the township will test three concrete cores in May or June to determine whether the Road Maintenance Building concrete meets PSI specifications. On the financial/operations side, Guzman said, "We are LIVE in gWorks. We have processed the last two payrolls using the new system. Timesheet system is still not available for use. There are still issues with the transition, but we are working with the implementation team to correct all issues as they are discovered." She also reported that a Purplewave auction closed April 29, 2025, "bringing in $42,635 of additional funds."
The reports were received; no executive session was held. The board adjourned at 1:20 p.m.
