Bainville — The Bainville Town Council on Oct. 21 approved routine financial items, including claims and journal vouchers totaling $50,026.33 and payroll of $8,354.35. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Toby Romo at 7:03 p.m. at Bainville Town Hall.
John Gilligan moved to add a building-permit item to the agenda; Carol Rasmussen seconded and the agenda passed unanimously. Council then approved the Sept. 9, 2024 regular meeting minutes on a motion by Carol Rasmussen, seconded by John Gilligan.
During the treasurer’s review the council considered the cash-balance report, bank reconciliation, year-to-date expense and revenue statements, bank statements for September 2024 and utility-billing receipts. John Gilligan moved to approve claims and journal vouchers totaling $50,026.33; Carol Rasmussen seconded and the motion was recorded as passing unanimously. The council approved payroll of $8,354.35 on a motion by Carol Rasmussen, seconded by John Gilligan; that motion also passed unanimously.
The council did not record individual roll-call votes in the minutes; each motion is listed as having passed unanimously in the meeting record. Clerk Billie Jo Cochran was present and will follow up on administrative items identified during the review.
The council confirmed next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Bainville Town Hall.
