The Bainville Town Council reviewed an update on the town’s water project and approved a Notice of Award and Contract Amendment #2 from Interstate Engineering; the documents were approved and signed by Mayor Toby Romo during the Sept. 9 meeting.
Council members received a separate water-loss report showing the town lost 414,102 gallons in August 2024, equal to 23% loss; the minutes note the town’s goal is 10% or less. The water project documents and contract amendment are recorded in the meeting’s Department and Committee Reports and were executed by the mayor.
The minutes do not record dissent or a roll-call vote for the contract amendment; they state the contract documents were approved and signed by Mayor Romo. The town indicated follow-up work on the FY 2024–25 Annual Budget and operational items will be handled by Clerk Billie Jo Cochran and staff in upcoming meetings.
