Kearney aldermen unanimously approve funding agreement for Enhanced Enterprise Zone project

He also expressed appreciation to a resident identified only as Mollie for alerting staff to unusually high water usage at his residence; according to the minutes, city staff traced the issue to a programming error in the billing/software system.
The agenda listed a proposed Fiscal Year 2026 budget for review, but the minutes record no substantive discussion or vote on that budget at this meeting. City Administrator Sheila Ernzen announced the board’s next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 18, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.
