The chief and mayor discussed coordination on future ordinance wording; the mayor encouraged Chief Thomas to work with staff on language for consideration at a future meeting.
Aldermen David Lehman and Dan Holt both offered praise for officers' community engagement and the department's response during recent weather events. Multiple board members and the mayor also thanked public works and first responders for keeping roads clear and assisting residents; Alderman Holt specifically praised citizens and tow operators who helped clear roadways.
