East Haven library staff begin cataloging items for new 'Toy Library' lending program

At the July 16 meeting the East Haven Public Library Board of Trustees heard that staff are launching a Toy Library lending program. Director Sarah Mallory told trustees that staff are cataloging all items and determining how lending will work.
Mallory said the label printer used for cataloging is broken and that a new printer is being purchased to support item labeling. The board noted the program is a new type of lending and will require policy and procedural decisions; trustees were referred to the committee report for ongoing policy review.
The item will be discussed again at the August meeting as staff finalize cataloging and circulation procedures.
