Mrs. Adams said GulfScapes' proposal was $58,500, roughly $13,000 higher than the $45,000 amount budgeted. The Board discussed financing options, including using unassigned funds and applying payments withheld from Laz's Lawn Service to offset the higher cost. Management was authorized to terminate the Laz's Lawn Service contract immediately and to engage GulfScapes, on a motion by Kurt Blumenthal and seconded by Bob Schultz; the motion passed with all in favor.
The action shifts ongoing maintenance responsibilities to a new vendor and directs staff to manage contract execution and the financial adjustments necessary to cover the higher proposal amount.
