Vero Beach council names members to Planning and Humiston Boardwalk committees

The City Council appointed Michael Juckiewicz as an alternate to the Planning and Zoning Board on a unanimous voice vote. The council also filled five positions on a newly created Humiston Boardwalk Citizens Committee: Richard Giessert, Victoria Gould, Morgen Reynolds and Barbara Ruddy were named full members; Jeff Schlitt was named alternate. One applicant, Bethany Fortunato, withdrew her application prior to the vote.
Councilmember John Carroll noted the committee is a new ad hoc body and councilmembers asked staff to schedule the committee's first meeting.
Appointments were made by motion and passed unanimously; staff will provide meeting logistics and committee charters.
