Shannon outlines Norwich rink programs, reports roof and dehumidifier repairs

Shannon reported recent maintenance work: roof repairs appear complete and a failed dehumidifier (which broke in May) had a new blower assembly installed on July 2, restoring the unit. She told the committee that monthly preventive chiller maintenance is performed by a contractor (ARC) and that roof work had briefly shut down the chiller during a heavy downpour; contractors responded quickly and protected equipment with plastic sheeting.
Shannon outlined remaining facility needs: several interior light fixtures continue to fail each year (she estimated about four to five replacements annually), and one corner of the rink is dark because lifts cannot access that location through doors or around the ice. She recommended either acquiring a shorter/narrower lift or building a ramp to improve access. She also said some roof downspouts are clogged and cause pooling near the dumpster, which should be addressed to prevent foundation damage.
Chair asked Shannon to send a written list of specific light locations and the dates and records of contractor communications so public works staff (Brian) can follow up. Shannon said she would provide the requested documentation.
The committee did not take formal action on operations or maintenance items during the meeting; members agreed to follow up through staff and public-works coordination.
