Kearney approves expansion of West Side CID to fund waterline replacement and upsizing

The third amended petition added properties needed for several public projects; staff singled out the replacement and upsizing of a waterline that runs from 6th Avenue to 92 Highway and will be extended to connect at 92 Highway and Sam Barr Drive to loop the system.
The ordinance (Bill No. 53-2024) was read by title twice and approved on second reading by roll call vote. The minutes record the roll call for the ordinance as: Holt, Barger, King and Lehman voting for the motion; the bill was numbered Ordinance No. 1602-2024.
What it means: Adding property to the CID allows the city to use CID-generated revenues for the described public improvements.
