GMAC staff report seven vacancies; special Aug. 18 meeting scheduled to post Title 20 intended-use plan for public comment

Christine Estrada told the Grants Management Advisory Committee that she is reviewing seven current vacancies and will work with members and departments to fill the necessary positions to preserve quorum.
Nicole Martin, program specialist with the Grants Management Unit, said she will request a special GMAC meeting on Aug. 18 to review the Social Services Block Grant (Title 20) FY27 intended-use plan and pre-expenditure report. Martin said staff plan to post the plan for public comment by mid-July and allow a 30-day comment period before the committee meets, noting the plan must be submitted to the federal government by Sept. 1.
Estrada said she will send calendar invites for next fiscal year meetings and asked members to report scheduling conflicts to help maintain participation. Committee members asked how they could help recruit for vacancies; Estrada said she would reach out for recommendations to fill missing department seats.
The chair provided standard public-comment instructions (phone number and meeting ID) and reminded participants that no action can be taken on matters not on the agenda.
The meeting adjourned after brief closing remarks.
