Chair announces AB 384 task force first meeting to study youth reentry

Chair Carlson told the committee that the AB 384 task force will convene its first meeting on June 15 at 09:00 to begin a two-year study of youth reentry from state and county juvenile facilities. “We have our 1st task force meeting on June 15,” Carlson said. Carlson said the first meeting will review the task force charter and identify foundational members and potential stakeholders to invite to serve on the task force or participate on focused work groups. Commissioner Marr asked whether potential invitees should be brought to the first meeting or suggested in advance; Carlson asked members to email suggested participants so staff could reach out and invite them to future meetings.
