At its Nov. 12 meeting, the Soldier Township Board approved an engagement letter with Shipley CPA to conduct the township's 2024 audit and authorized a 2025 Noxious Weed Treatment Agreement with Shawnee County.
Jerry Glasgow, treasurer and presiding officer, opened the business items and moved the motion to approve the engagement letter; Clerk Mike Mathes seconded the motion and the minutes report the motion carried. Glasgow also moved approval of the Shawnee County noxious weed treatment contract for the 2025 contract year; Mathes seconded and the motion carried.
The board also approved the consent agenda at the start of the meeting, which included the Oct. 8, 2024 minutes, accounts payable and October 2024 bank reconciliations. The minutes record no public comments during the public comment period.
