Board adopts new AI policy, approves several policy changes; Section 504 revisions tabled

The minutes list additional instructional and access policies such as Policy 2335 (Human Sexuality Instruction and Identity Instruction) and Policy 3612 (District-Provided Access to Electronic Information, Services, Equipment, and Networks).
The minutes note that the deadlines in Policy 1700 differ from deadlines in the collective bargaining agreement and that trustees discussed aligning those time frames if appropriate. The administrator recommended tabling Policy 2162 to the Feb. 12 meeting because the Montana School Boards Association (MTSBA) is modifying that policy and associated procedures; the board recorded a motion to table that item.
