The Creston School District #9 Board of Trustees convened at 7:03 a.m. on Jan. 8 in the school gym and unanimously approved routine business including minutes and claims.
Trustee Nevada Hafer moved to approve the minutes of the Dec. 11, 2025 regular meeting and the Dec. 15, 2025 special meeting; Trustee Megan Derrington seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Hafer also moved to approve claims for December 2025 and January 2026; Derrington seconded and the board approved those claims without recorded opposition.
Later in the meeting Trustee Milo Funk moved to approve the property disposal and accompanying resolution as presented; Trustee Megan Derrington seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes do not provide additional detail about the items listed for disposal.
The board set upcoming meetings: a work session Jan. 21, 2026 (5 p.m.–8 p.m.), and regular meetings on Feb. 12 and Mar. 12, 2026, both at 7:00 a.m. The meeting adjourned at 7:49 a.m.
