The Greenland Board of Selectmen on July 13 approved several routine administrative items, including hiring an HR consultant, accepting a donation to the Fire Department and approving the consent agenda.
HR consultant: The board reviewed three proposals and voted unanimously to hire a Tilton-based firm at $149 per month for an initial six-month engagement, with an option to reassess. The role may include a special project and review of the Personnel Policy.
Donations and apportionment: The board accepted a $3,000 donation from REP Enterprises for the Fire Department’s UTV operator training and up-fitting, and voted to accept and expend the 2026 Railroad Tax DRA apportionment of $2,047.21.
Minutes and consent agenda: The board approved the minutes of June 15 and June 29 (each with one abstention noted on the record) and approved the consent agenda, which listed Accounts Payable of $2,885,213.98 and payroll of $99,133.97.
Animal control: Selectmen voted to forward a list of unlicensed dogs to the Police Department for enforcement as part of the annual dog-license process.
Most motions on the agenda passed by unanimous vote unless noted. The board adjourned at 7:48 p.m.
