The RSU 18 School Board approved a slate of personnel actions including advancement of first-year teachers to second-year status, recognition of teachers moving to three-year continuing contracts, and formal announcement of several newly hired educators.
During new business the superintendent read the roster of first-year teachers recommended to move from probationary (first) year to second year. The board moved to accept the recommended slate and voted unanimously in favor. Immediately following, administrators read names of faculty recommended for three-year continuing contracts; the board again voted to approve the list.
The superintendent also announced newly hired educators who will join the district next year and provided brief professional summaries for each hire, including prior roles and degrees where noted.
Board members did not propose amendments to these personnel motions at the meeting. Individual votes were recorded by the board as unanimous but the meeting transcript does not include a roll-call tally of yes/no votes.
The board’s actions will be reflected in personnel records and standard onboarding and assignment processes overseen by district administration.
