Clinton trustees approve hires, contracts and budget transfers; several items carried by voice vote

At its July 21 meeting the Clinton School District Board of Trustees approved a series of personnel hires, contract agreements and year-end budget actions and carried several motions by voice vote.
On contracts and administrative actions, trustees approved a contract authorizing Missoula County Elections Administration to run district elections and perform official ballot mailing and counting. The board also approved an independent consulting agreement for Amanda Seer and designated Kathy Schneider as the district’s authorized representative for the 2025–26 fiscal year.
The board approved multiple coaching hires: Melissa Hallgren as head volleyball coach and Chelsea Wilson as assistant girls volleyball coach for 2025–26; Abraham Barham was approved as head soccer coach pending completion of background checks and Kira/Sierra Everett Lapkey was approved as assistant middle school soccer coach. Trustees also approved classroom hires, including Delaney Peterson as kindergarten teacher and Cassandra Caldwell as third-grade teacher, both pending background checks.
Board members handled transportation routes for the 2025–26 school year and amended a motion to explicitly include four bus stops where students must cross roads; the amended motion carried. Trustees approved administrative team raises and approved a year-end general fund expenditure budget together with an estimated transfer amount into an interlocal agreement. The board also approved allowing weapons on school property for the fall 2025 hunter-safety class and demonstrations for instruction.
