Chairman Kenneth Fosdick told the Plymouth Airport Commission on May 14 that recent hangar inspections carried out over two weekends identified several violations and some hangars that staff could not open because of locks. Acting Manager Brendan Nordahl said crews found roughly 94% compliance during the inspections and that staff will draft letters, reviewed by legal counsel, requesting access and remediation.
Fosdick warned owners that unresolved violations could put their leases at risk. "If access is not given, they would be in violation," he said; Nordahl confirmed there is currently no fee linked to noncompliance but that legal steps and lease remedies would be pursued as necessary.
Under new business, Nordahl said he had met with State Police representatives about forming a new hangar lease. He outlined topics to cover in a proposed workshop, including the lease rate and proposed renovation loan terms; the transcript records discussion of creating the workshop but no formal vote or lease terms were approved at the meeting.
