Clyde Park council approves packet-delivery rule, tables several permits and reestablishes cemetery board

At its Nov. 11 meeting, the Clyde Park council approved a procedural change requiring that financial reports and all meeting paperwork be delivered in paper form on the Friday before each council meeting so members can review materials in advance. Council member Roger Chandler made the motion; it was seconded by Dave Sarrazin and passed 3–2 (Chandler, Sarrazin and James Walsh voted yes; Teresa Saari and Brian Eckenrod voted no).
The council handled several consent-agenda items: the October 2024 minutes were accepted; claim warrants and financial reports were approved (Council member Chandler opposed and Council member Sarrazin abstained on one motion); ARCA records archiving was tabled; and a snowplow bid request was tabled to December with instructions to provide paperwork ahead of the next meeting.
On site permits, a permit for James Boyd/Jason Jacobson was tabled until septic approval is submitted. Resident Rebecca (Becca) Pinson said her porch is a safety hazard and will be placed on the next meeting agenda, but the council acknowledged she may do immediate repairs because of the danger. For new business, the council voted to reestablish the Cemetery Board, advertise openings in public locations, and hold a public meeting 30 minutes before the January 2025 council meeting; the motion passed.
