Stratmoor Hills Sanitation District begins 2022–23 audit adjustments; approves June financial reports

At its Aug. 21 meeting, the Stratmoor Hills Sanitation District Board heard an update from District Manager Kirk Medina that staff have begun making audit adjustments for the 2022 and 2023 budget years and expect those adjustments to be completed Friday, Aug. 23, with assistance from Jessie Seibert.
Medina told the board he has begun generating management reports and plans to incorporate them into monthly financial reporting. No formal board action was taken on the audit follow-up; Medina said he will report on the item again next month after the adjustments are complete.
The board unanimously approved the June 2024 financial reports. Director James Pesicka moved to approve the reports; Director John Willcox seconded and the vote was 5-0. The District Manager provided bank reconciliation statements and said sanitation assessments are on track for the time of year and that revenues are exceeding expenditures.
In the managers operational update, Medina reported the districts sewer vacuum truck was again malfunctioning and Ferris Equipment will inspect it; he said a pony pump failure, if confirmed, should be covered by warranty. He also reported that lift station maintenance is scheduled for all four lift stations and that a College View sewer liner repair has encountered problems because embankments around the main are saturated.
The board adjourned at 4:54 p.m.
