Council Member Lisa Orme moved to accept and approve the listed documents with specific conditions: allow the mayor to sign the conservation easement and related documents; make approval contingent on Wasatch County's approval; require the city attorney to confirm all exhibits are included and correct; and authorize a check to be prepared and presented to the Lundin family. Council Member Andy Garland seconded the motion. Mayor Craig Simons confirmed that no substantive changes had been made since the documents were last discussed and thanked John Woodard of the Wasatch County Attorneyoffice, Wendy Fisher of Utah Open Lands, the Lundin family and others involved in the preservation effort.
The motion passed with the roll call recorded as: Garland Aye; Orme Aye; Osborne Aye; Simonsen Aye; Payne Excused. The councilauthorized the mayor to carry out the obligations in the documents and for staff to prepare payment to the Lundin family. The approval is conditional on Wasatch County approval and the city attorney confirming exhibits; no further timeline for county action was stated.
