At its June 1 meeting Mayor Kizziler Knight declared several routine motions unanimously approved. Councilor Rick Baird moved and Councilor C.C. Higginbotham seconded approval of the meeting agenda; the motion was declared unanimously approved.
Councilor C.C. Higginbotham moved and Councilor Phyllis Drummond seconded approval of the minutes from the May 4 meeting; the motion was declared unanimously approved. The council then approved a letter supporting DPS speed detection devices on roadways after a motion by C.C. Higginbotham and a second by Phyllis Drummond; Mayor Knight declared that motion unanimously approved.
Councilor Phyllis Drummond moved and Councilor Rick Baird seconded a motion to revert City Hall public hours to the normal schedule with City Hall open to the public all day on Fridays; Mayor Knight declared that motion unanimously approved. The meeting was later adjourned on a motion by Drummond, seconded by Higginbotham, and declared unanimously approved.
