Lazy Sister sign plan approved after mural and arrow removed

The Architectural Review Board on April 15 approved an amended signage plan for Lazy Sister, a new restaurant at 36 East Main Street, after the applicant agreed to remove a proposed wood-cut sister mural and a rear arrow.
Applicant Maxwell Weiss presented renderings for an 18" x 120" raised black-letter sign attached directly to the wall, similar in scale to the former occupant’s signage. The board questioned the proposed wood-cut sister character mural because it would count as an additional sign; the applicant and the board agreed that only one sign per entrance is permitted. The record shows the wood-cut mural and the rear arrow were to be removed as part of the amended application.
James Vallejos moved to approve the amended application with those changes; Andy Gonzalez seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes record that the mural will be removed and the arrow eliminated as conditions of approval.
