Toccoa readies storm drainage project; bids to open July 21 with 90-day completion window

City staff updated the Toccoa City Commission on the storm drainage project design and procurement timeline at the June 22 work session. John Phillips said design work began in July 2025 and that formal plans were submitted in March 2026. KCI reviewed the design and prepared a scope-of-work contract for the city.
The city held a pre-bid meeting on June 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. and scheduled the bid opening for July 21, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. According to the presentation, awarded contractors will be required to complete the contracted work within 90 days of notice to proceed.
No contract awards or motions were made during the work session; commissioners received the update for future procurement and award consideration.
