The Kindred City Council reviewed a draft request for bids (RFB) Feb. 4 for garbage and recycling services with a submission deadline of 4 p.m. on March 2 and planned review at the March 4 council meeting.
The draft RFB outlines a five-year initial contract term with automatic three-year renewals and invites bidders to provide options and clarifications about their offerings. The city intends to post the RFB on the municipal website, publish it in the Cass County Reporter and mail copies to contractors who have previously expressed interest.
Council discussion noted the desired term lengths and an openness to bidder-provided options; no final contract award was made at the Feb. 4 meeting. Council asked staff to proceed with posting and distribution of the draft RFB according to the schedule recorded in the minutes.
