The council determined that previously identified issues (a window sealed with plexiglass/plywood and an unsecured east door) had been addressed. The council voted to remove the dangerous-building/code-enforcement designation; the motion carried unanimously. During discussion, Hendrickson characterized the legal notice as disrespectful, described repairs and materials used, and raised questions about sidewalk improvements. Mayor Kersting thanked Hendrickson for his candor.
The minutes also record an outstanding enforcement deadline for 490 Elm Street with a compliance date of Jan. 1, 2026, and note that the extension deadline for 20 4th Ave S (Steven Reinhold) passed on Dec. 1, 2025 without an update recorded.
