Killdeer forwards demolition quotes to Dunn County for former Social Services building

The Killdeer City Commission voted Jan. 5 to have CW Structural inspect the former Dunn County Social Services Building and the shared wall with the old fire hall, and to forward demolition quotes from Cordova Construction and Total Control Inc. to the Dunn County Commission to request county funding for demolition.
Commissioner Chris Fenstermaker introduced the motions; both passed unanimously on roll-call votes. The minutes record that the quotes will be provided to Dunn County for a funding request; no contract for demolition was awarded by the city at this meeting. City staff presented two contractor quotes for consideration and will await the county’s response on funding.
The inspection and the intergovernmental request are the steps the city recorded to move toward removal of the vacant social services building.
