The commission adopted Ordinance 470 on second reading after the town attorney read the title into the record. The ordinance amends Chapter 62 (marine activities) to add a definition for "dock gazebo," address nonconformities, add technical standards (including provisions for boat lift covers), and provide alternative compliance mechanisms and severability.
There was no public comment on the second reading and commissioners moved directly to a roll-call vote. The motion carried unanimously.
The new rules will be codified as part of Chapter 62 and become effective per the ordinance language and normal codification process.
