Ely approves Music Box Bar liquor license, tables William Hill gaming license over address discrepancy

The council then met as the Gaming Licensing Board to consider a city gaming license for William Hill Nevada I d.b.a. William Hill Race and Sports Book. City Clerk Jennifer Lee said the paperwork presented one address (504 E. Aultman Street) while backup documentation from the Gaming Board listed 501 Aultman Street. City Attorney Chris Arabia recommended tabling the item to allow staff to verify the correct address. Councilman Terrill Trask moved to table the license; Councilwoman Melody Van Camp seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Councilors instructed staff to bring the item back with clarified documentation and urged careful scrutiny of the business address when the application returns to the board.
