The city is prioritizing a limited set of applications this cycle to avoid overcommitting while other capital projects proceed.
The report also noted broader appropriations activity affecting Ely: a $5 million appropriation for first-responder communications equipment appeared in Senate CJS report language, city staff are engaging with the Bureau of Reclamation on a WaterSmart grant and with FRA on a CRISI grant application, and staff are exploring use of library pathway work in the City Hall restoration project.
