Board honors departing members, recognizes student standouts

Principals from the elementary and middle schools presented fall "student standout" awards. Elementary principal Jennifer Segnaglia recognized kindergarten through 4th-grade standouts including Jason Francois, Matthew Soltis Moreno, Quinn Califano, Riley Banta and Lillian Meyer and described their classroom contributions. Middle-school principal Meg O'Mara recognized standouts from grades 5 through 8: Gina Campot, Jordan Marte, Veronica Lammy and Jake Babadeck, summarizing teacher nominations for leadership, kindness and academic effort.
Board action: The resolutions thanking departing board members were moved and seconded and the board indicated approval by voice/roll call. The recognition presentations were ceremonial.
