Council approves minutes, allows senior-center repaint and okays City Hall closure for retirement luncheon

At the May 11 meeting the city council approved several routine items by unanimous vote (3–0). Councilmember McClendon moved and Westmark seconded approval of the April 13 and April 27, 2026 minutes; the motion passed 3–0.
Councilmember Westmark moved and McClendon seconded a motion allowing the Wakulla Senior Citizens to repaint the annex and update the existing exterior sign at their expense; that motion passed 3–0. The council also approved the financials and adjustments by council signature.
City Clerk Schilling asked the council to approve closing City Hall on Wednesday, May 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Mike Porter’s retirement luncheon; the council approved the closure. With no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:58 p.m.; motion by Westmark, seconded by Lewis, passed 3–0.
