Sopchoppy schedules Feb. 25 workshop to rank SRF engineering RFQs; Well 7 on track for March

Public Works Director Seth Green told the Sopchoppy City Council that Well 7 is on track for March and that RFQ submissions for State Revolving Fund (SRF) project engineering — covering water lines, wells and storage — are due by 11:00 a.m. on Feb. 20.
Green requested a 10:00 a.m. workshop on Feb. 25 to review, discuss and rank the engineering proposals. At that Feb. 25 workshop (attended by Councilmembers Tartt, Westmark and McClendon and staff Schilling, Green and Bonds), the firms that submitted RFQs were Inovia, North Florida Professional Services and Short, Elliott Hendrickson. Council discussed awarding construction engineering inspection (CEI) to one firm and inspections/related duties to another, directed packets be delivered to absent councilmembers, and asked that score sheets be returned to Clerk Schilling ahead of a recommendation to be made at the March 9 meeting.
Next steps: Councilmembers will complete scoring sheets and Clerk Schilling will assemble a recommendation for the March 9 Council meeting.
