Archdale board recommends subdivision ordinance updates for street design and greenways

The Archdale Planning and Zoning Board voted unanimously to recommend amendments to the Subdivision Ordinance (Article 4) at its March 2, 2026 meeting.
Planning Director Jason Miller introduced the item and consultant Vagn Hansen explained the proposed updates to required improvements and design standards, emphasizing revised street-design standards and new standards for shared-use paths (greenways).
Chairman Scott Greene opened and closed the public hearing with no public speakers. Board member Bob Kollm moved to recommend approval of the Subdivision Ordinance text amendment; Mitch Miller seconded. The board approved the recommendation unanimously.
Jason Miller later noted the board’s January rezoning was approved by City Council on Jan. 27, which the board recorded under additional items before adjourning.
