Archdale Council appoints Herb Andrews to Ward 1 seat, assigns Glass to TAC

Council appointed Herb Andrews to fill the Ward 1 council seat vacated by Larry Warlick and appointed Councilman John Glass to the Transportation Advisory Committee; both motions were approved unanimously.
At the Jan. 27 meeting the Archdale City Council appointed Herb Andrews to the City Council representing Ward 1 to replace retired Councilman Larry Warlick. Mayor Pro Tem Kelly Grooms made the motion to appoint Andrews; Councilman Roger Blackwell seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Council members and the mayor welcomed Andrews.
Separately, Council appointed Councilman John Glass to serve on the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) after a motion by Mayor Pro Tem Grooms, seconded by Councilman Blackwell, which also passed unanimously.
The minutes record no contested nominations and no additional conditions for either appointment. Staff will proceed with any required orientation and committee scheduling.
