Two residents used the meeting'9s public-comment period to raise neighborhood concerns.
Megan McGrath (3718 Spring Street) said the City'9s existing prohibition on backyard hens does not reflect current resident behavior and drives the practice out of sight. She asked the Council to consider a data-driven, low-risk approach such as a permit system or a pilot program with clear setbacks and limits so the City can base decisions on factual information rather than assumptions.
Steve Fricke (422 Aldridge Road) reported that speeding drivers are creating a dangerous situation on Aldridge Road. He said he contacted the Planning Department to seek approval to place large rocks along his property to protect it from errant vehicles.
Mayor Dorsett explained the procedure for public comment and asked speakers to sign the attendance form before speaking. The transcript does not record immediate Council action in response to either comment.
