Pojoaque Valley board reorganizes officers and adopts strategic plan, IPP and PSFA MOU

The Pojoaque Valley Public Schools board completed officer organization and several action items during its Jan. 14 meeting.
Shortly after swearing in new members, the board took nominations and elected officers for the coming term. Members discussed retention of current officers for continuity; roll‑call votes followed to confirm the slate.
The board then considered several action items and votes. The consent agenda passed by roll call, and the board approved an updated Memorandum of Understanding with the Public School Facilities Authority related to Guadalupe Middle School construction. The board also approved a repeal and replacement of the district's 2023–27 strategic plan with a newly developed 2025–28, student‑outcomes–focused plan and voted to adopt the annual revision of the Indian Policies and Procedures (IPP) for 2025–26. Each action was moved, seconded and carried by recorded voice/roll call vote.
Separately, the board reported that it went into and returned from executive session; the superintendent's midyear evaluation was acknowledged, signed and filed with human resources after the closed session.
The board set future meeting dates and requested that future agenda items be submitted by the Monday before a posted meeting; the next regular board meeting is scheduled for Jan. 28, 2026.
Votes: motions to approve the strategic plan, the IPP and the PSFA MOU were each seconded and approved by the majority of members present; official tallies were recorded on the minutes and reflected in the meeting record.
