Pojoaque board backs $ bond outreach plan as district prepares to seek voter support

The Pojoaque Valley Public Schools board voted Sept. 3 to support district outreach for a proposed general obligation bond, approving a campaign plan that includes a video, radio advertising, community yard and fence signs, mailers to families and staff engagement.
Superintendent Segura said the district had "made some pretty good strides with our general obligation bond campaign" and that staff would film a campaign video the following day with students from student council. "We are going to be getting 25 by 3 signs to be putting outside of our schools on fences, as well as 8 4 by 4 signs to put throughout the community," Segura said.
Board members suggested prominent local locations for signs and volunteered to coordinate placements if permission is required from tribal or municipal partners. The board scheduled radio appearances to promote the campaign and asked staff to provide locations where signs are most visible. The motion to support the campaign passed on a recorded voice vote.
The board did not set bond language or a ballot date during the special meeting; the action was to authorize staff to proceed with public information and outreach ahead of any formal bond submission.
