The Waukesha City Ordinance and Licensing Committee on April 27 recommended approval of AB‑105 submitted by North Pillar Brewing Company to provide beer at Jazz at Cutler Park in 2026 and held a separate AB‑105 for Beats by the River until the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department provides updated event drawings.
Committee staff and members emphasized that entertainment permits for city parks also require a permit from the Parks & Recreation Department. Brian (staff) said the item should proceed as long as the organizer obtains the park/rec permit. A committee motion to recommend approval of the Jazz at Cutler Park AB‑105 passed unanimously.
Committee members agreed to hold the Beats by the River AB‑105 (scheduled for June 13, 2026) at the Parks/Rec department’s request so event changes and a site drawing can be submitted. Chair said the application will return to the committee once Parks/Rec supplies the revised layout.
The committee’s recommendation on Jazz at Cutler Park will be forwarded to the common council on the May 5 consent agenda. The Beats by the River application remains pending and will return to committee when Parks/Rec submits the requested materials.
