"The Discharge Monitoring Report was not submitted to the NYSDEC for December 2025 due to a scheduling error," Superintendent Michael G. Messenger told the board, noting the town had corrected the scheduling issue. He said the fine must be paid to the DEC unless the town requests a hearing, which could carry the risk of a higher penalty.
The board approved Res. No. 278, authorizing payment of the $1,390 fine and directing the Town Supervisor to sign the required consent form to return to the NYSDEC; the motion passed unanimously.
